Crabby Collector Features & Bonus Mechanics

Every Crabby Collector mechanic explained in one place: all-scatter clusters on a 6×5 grid, cascading wins, the Collection Counter that unlocks Grid Boosters at 30, 40 and 50 symbols, the Global Multiplier up to 100×, the bonus round, and Bonus Buy. I break down how each system triggers, what it does to the grid, and how they chain together — with math examples and demo links so you can verify before playing for real.

All-Scatter Wins & Cascades

How it triggers
Land eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the 6×5 grid — no paylines, no reel positions to track. Every symbol in the cluster counts toward the win, regardless of where it sits.
What it does
This is the foundation everything else builds on. When a cluster pays, those symbols vanish and new ones drop from above, filling the gaps. If the refill creates another cluster of eight or more, the cascade continues on the same spin. There is no cap on chain length in a single round — I have seen demo sessions run four or five consecutive clears before the grid settles. Crucially, cascade here means the physical drop-and-refill cycle. Collection — the separate counter mechanic — is covered in the next section; do not confuse the two.
Math example
At a €1.00 stake, a cluster of ten low-tier symbols paying 0.5× each in the published table returns €5.00 before any Global Multiplier or booster effects apply. If the cascade that follows clears another eight symbols, that payout stacks on the same spin.

Collection Counter

How it triggers
Every winning symbol removed during a cascade adds one point to the Collection Counter displayed on screen. The counter tracks all symbols cleared across every cluster in the spin — not just the first hit.
What it does
This is the mechanic that separates Crabby Collector from a standard avalanche slot. A spin might produce three separate clusters in one chain; all removed symbols feed the same counter. In the base game the counter resets when the spin ends — win or lose, the next spin starts at zero. In the bonus round the counter persists across spins and only resets after a Grid Booster fires, which means you can climb toward 30, 40 or 50 multiple times in a single feature. Watch the counter during your first five demo spins; once you see it jump from 18 to 34 in one chain, the booster tiers click into place.
Math example
A cascade chain removes 12 symbols on the first hit, 9 on the second, and 14 on the third — the Collection Counter reads 35, crossing the Tier 1 threshold of 30 and triggering one Grid Booster before the spin ends.

Grid Boosters (Three Tiers)

How it triggers
Reach 30–39 collected symbols for Tier 1, 40–49 for Tier 2, or 50+ for Tier 3 within a single base-game spin or across bonus spins. Boosters activate in fixed order: Add Global Multiplier first, then Remove Low, then Add Wilds. After each booster fires, the counter resets to zero and can climb again on the same spin or in subsequent bonus spins.
What it does
Tier 1 (30–39 symbols): choose one booster — Remove Low symbols from the grid or Add Wilds. Tier 2 (40–49): two boosters activate — Add Global Multiplier plus your choice of Remove Low or Add Wilds. Tier 3 (50+): all three fire together — Add Global Multiplier, Remove Low, and Add Wilds in sequence. Remove Low strips the lowest-paying symbols still on the grid, improving cluster odds on the next cascade step. Add Wilds injects wild symbols that substitute for regular icons. The choice at Tier 1 and Tier 2 matters: I usually pick Add Wilds when the grid is dense with mids and highs, and Remove Low when lows dominate. In the bonus round, hitting a tier does not end the feature — the counter resets and collection continues.
Math example
Starting at a €2.00 stake with 33 symbols collected, Tier 1 Add Wilds drops three wilds onto the grid. The next cascade forms a 10-symbol high-tier cluster worth 3× stake — €6.00 — before any multiplier boost from a later tier.

Global Multiplier

How it triggers
The Global Multiplier starts at 1× on every new base-game spin. It increases when the Add Global Multiplier booster activates — either as a standalone Tier 2 choice or as part of the Tier 3 triple activation.
What it does
Possible additions include increments of 1× through 10×, plus fixed bumps of 15×, 20×, 25×, 50×, or 100×. In the base game the multiplier applies to wins on the current spin but resets to 1× when the next spin begins — even if you crossed a booster threshold late in the chain. In the bonus round the multiplier accumulates across spins and does not reset until the feature ends. That difference is enormous: a 25× bump in base game might affect one cascade tail, while the same bump in bonus can compound across six or seven spins. This is where the 15,000× ceiling becomes plausible — not from a single cluster, but from a stacked multiplier meeting a Tier 3 booster chain.
Math example
A €1.00 stake with a 12-symbol mid-tier win worth 3× (€3.00) and an active Global Multiplier of 10× pays €30.00. If the same setup hits during bonus with the multiplier already at 10× and a +25× booster fires, the effective multiplier reaches 35× on the next cascade — turning a €3.00 base win into €105.00.

Bonus Round

How it triggers
Land the required scatter symbols in a single paid spin to enter the bonus round. Exact trigger counts are listed in the in-game paytable — open the info screen before your first session.
What it does
The bonus shifts Crabby Collector from single-spin collection arcs to a multi-spin run. The Collection Counter carries over between spins instead of resetting each round, and the Global Multiplier stacks rather than zeroing out. Grid Boosters can fire multiple times in one feature because the counter resets only after each booster activation, not after each spin. I treat this round as the main escalation path: base game can deliver solid hits when a chain crosses 50 symbols, but sustained multiplier growth happens here. Full trigger tables, retrigger rules, and step-by-step walkthrough are on the dedicated bonuses page — this section is the summary, not the full narrative.
Math example
Entering bonus at €1.00, crossing 52 symbols on spin four triggers all three Tier 3 boosters in one cascade. With a accumulated Global Multiplier of 8×, a mid-tier cluster worth 5× stake pays €40.00 before further cascades in the same spin.

How the mechanics work together

Crabby Collector is not a list of independent features — the systems feed each other in a fixed pipeline. All-scatter clusters start cascades; cascades fill the Collection Counter; the counter unlocks Grid Boosters; boosters modify the grid and multiplier for the remaining chain. The table below shows how each mechanic behaves in the base game, during cascades, and in the bonus round.

Mechanic Base gameDuring cascadesBonus round
All-scatter clusters Eight or more matching symbols anywhere pay; no paylinesWinning symbols drop out; refills can chain new clusters on the same spinSame cluster rules; collection persists across spins
Collection Counter Counts all symbols removed in the spin; resets when the spin endsKeeps climbing through every cluster in the chainPersists across spins; resets only after a Grid Booster fires
Grid Boosters Fire at 30 / 40 / 50 thresholds within one spin; counter resets after eachCan trigger mid-chain, altering the grid for remaining cascadesCan activate multiple times per feature as thresholds are re-crossed
Global Multiplier Starts at 1× each spin; resets on the next spinApplies to wins after a multiplier booster activates in the chainAccumulates across spins until the feature ends

Bonus Buy options

Bonus Buy is available where your operator enables it. The published entry cost is 100× your current total stake — confirm the exact price in the in-game buy menu before purchasing. Buying skips the base-game wait and drops you directly into the bonus round with persistent collection and accumulating multiplier behaviour.

Option Cost What you get
Bonus Round 100× bet Instant entry to the collection bonus round. The Global Multiplier accumulates across spins instead of resetting, and Grid Boosters can fire multiple times as the Collection Counter re-crosses 30, 40 and 50.
Enhanced Bonus Buy Varies by operator Some casinos list a premium buy-in with improved starting conditions. Costs and extras differ — always read the in-game description before confirming purchase.
Feature availability Jurisdiction-dependent Bonus Buy may be disabled in certain markets. If the buy button is absent, the bonus is trigger-only at that operator.
