How to Play Crabby Collector

New to all-scatter slots? This guide walks you through Crabby Collector from your first bet to your first booster unlock — how wins form without paylines, what the Collection Counter tracks, and which screen elements matter in the opening spins. No strategy talk here; just the rules you need before pressing Spin.

Quick start: your first spin

Follow these five steps in order during your first demo session. Each one maps to something visible on screen — the goal is to connect the UI to the rules before you switch to real money.

  1. Set your bet size

Open the stake controls and pick a bet between €0.10 and €50. The demo uses the same range as real-money play. Start toward the lower end while you learn the Collection Counter rhythm — you can raise the stake once cascade chains and booster thresholds feel familiar.

  2. Press Spin and watch for clusters

Tap Spin (or press Spacebar on desktop). Wins form when eight or more matching symbols appear anywhere on the 6×5 grid — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally connected. There are no paylines to enable or deactivate. If you do not see eight matching symbols, the spin ends with no win.

  3. Follow the cascades and Collection Counter

When a cluster wins, those symbols disappear and new ones fall in. Watch the Collection Counter climb with every symbol removed — it tracks the entire chain, not just the first cluster. Remember: cascade is the physical refill; collection is the running total toward Grid Boosters. They happen together but measure different things.

  4. Open the paytable for symbol values

Press the info or paytable button to see payout values per symbol tier and cluster size. Wild symbols substitute for regular icons when they land via the Add Wilds booster. Scatter symbols trigger the bonus round — check the in-game table for exact trigger counts and scatter pays.

  5. Practice in the demo before real play

Run at least ten demo spins and note when the counter crosses 30, 40 or 50. That is when Grid Boosters fire. Once you can predict what the next threshold unlocks, you are ready to read the features page for deeper detail or move to a licensed operator.

Paytable and symbol values

Crabby Collector pays on clusters, not lines. The table below lists symbol tiers and published payout multiples from the in-game paytable. Values scale with your total bet. Because wins require eight or more matching symbols, most payouts trigger at larger cluster sizes than a traditional line slot — open the info screen for the full cluster-size breakdown.

Game controls explained

The Crabby Collector control panel follows standard HTML5 slot layout. Every option below is available in the free demo, so you can learn the interface without risking money.

  • Bet size

Use plus and minus buttons to adjust your stake per spin within the €0.10–€50 range. Your bet applies to the entire 6×5 grid — there are no per-line adjustments.

  • Autoplay

Set a spin count and optional stop limits for loss or single-win thresholds. The Collection Counter and cascade animations still play at full speed — useful once you understand what each threshold unlocks.

  • Turbo spin

Speeds up reel drops and cascade refills. I recommend keeping normal speed for your first session so you can track how many symbols each chain adds to the counter.

  • Paytable button

Opens the in-game rules: cluster minimums, symbol values, scatter trigger counts, Grid Booster descriptions, and the active RTP version at your casino.

  • Sound

Mutes or restores game audio. Booster activations and threshold crossings have distinct sound cues that help you notice counter milestones during cascades.

Rules and win conditions

Wins require eight or more matching symbols connected anywhere on the 6×5 grid — all-scatter means position does not matter beyond adjacency for cluster formation. Only the highest-value cluster per symbol type pays on each cascade step. After payout, winning symbols are removed and new symbols drop in; the chain continues until no new cluster of eight or more forms. Every removed symbol adds to the Collection Counter. Grid Boosters activate at 30, 40 and 50 collected symbols in the order: Add Global Multiplier, Remove Low, Add Wilds. In the base game the counter and Global Multiplier both reset when the spin ends. In the bonus round the counter persists across spins and the Global Multiplier accumulates. The 15,000× max win cap applies in base game, bonus, and Bonus Buy alike.

Common beginner mistakes

  • Confusing cascades with collection — cascades are the symbol drops; the Collection Counter is the running total toward boosters. They happen on the same spin but track different things.

  • Ignoring the Collection Counter during the first few spins — it is the most important UI element. If you are not watching it climb, booster activations will feel random.

  • Enabling turbo spin before you understand threshold crossings — at high speed it is easy to miss when you crossed 30 or 40 symbols.

  • Skipping the in-game paytable — cluster payouts and scatter trigger counts are not obvious from the grid graphics alone.

  • Assuming the Global Multiplier carries over between base-game spins — it resets every new spin in the base game. Only the bonus round lets it accumulate.
